Guatemalan Tote 3
15”/15”/5” Strap extends 10” from top of bag.
This tote has a pocket on the huipil side. Only one side sports the woven Huipil design. The other side is all the same cloth as the top and straps you see in the photo. It has a zipper in the entire top of the tote and a zipper pocket in the side interior of the bag.
This bag was made by artisans in Guatemala. Because of the poor economic condition of the country of, many men migrate to the United States leaving their families behind; wives and children are forced to live without husband or father. This craft organisation has served as a good alternative to avoid migration, thus ensuring the men have stable work here. They are able to take care of their families in every way. Care requires more than providing money.
